A Biden Administration OSHA Outlook

Presenting on behalf of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD)

With a new administration in Washington, including a soon-to-be named head of the U.S Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), big changes are likely coming for workplace safety regulations and enforcement. Please join NACD at 12 noon on Thursday, April 29 for an OSHA outlook webinar to be presented by Pete Downing, President of Environment & Safety Solutions. While OSHA kept a relatively low profile during the Trump Administration, the agency has been extremely active during the first weeks of the Biden Administration. OSHA has already issued serval new policies on COVID-19 worker safety and published a long-awaited proposed rule to update the Hazard Communication Standard. What other actions will OSHA take that will impact the chemical distribution industry? Will the agency resume efforts to update its Process Safety Management Standard, intensify efforts under its Chemical National Emphasis Program, and increase enforcement efforts, including a return to public shaming of companies that have been cited? Pete will discuss these and other topics to help your company prepare.
